Rick Sautter comes from a strong executive background.
A graduate of the U.S. Naval Academy, he had a distinguished
twenty-four year career as an officer in the United States
Navy. The Naval Helicopter Association honored him as Pilot
of the Year for his participation in the evacuation of Viet
Nam. He was also the recipient of the prestigious Steven
Decatur award from the Navy League of the United States.
He holds a Masters degree in systems management from the
University of Southern California.
Rick Sautter has also held sales, marketing and management
positions in industries dedicated to helping people. He
has been extensively involved in alcoholism and drug abuse
treatment, having directed a 200-bed in-patient treatment
facility and served as executive director of an addiction
counselor membership and certification organization. He
was the director of operations for 26 clinics devoted to
the treatment of addicts throughout California, and he is
a highly successful interventionist. Throughout his career,
both in the military and civilian worlds, Rick's primary
concern has been caring for people.
On a personal note, Rick's passion for providing care and
treatment to those suffering from the disease of addiction
began in 1986 when he participated in a successful intervention
for a loved one. He is committed to providing support to
the families and friends who are directly affected by this
life-threatening disease. An expert in crisis management,
he believes in the powerful results a professional intervention
can provide both to those suffering from the disease of
alcoholism and addiction and, sometimes even more, their
families.
